Nineteen-ninety-nine
has been a year for reflection and preparation for the new millennium. With Y2K
behind us, we can now prepare for the challenges of the year 2000 and beyond. If you're looking for answers and insight into the future of Information Technology (IT), then joining the Chicago Research & Planning Group (CRPG) is a smart business decision.
Our members are a who's who of top information technology executives from the world's leading companies. Clearly, diversity breeds ingenuity: more than fifty industries are represented in an interesting cross-section of business. As for our geographical boundaries, there are none. An increasing number of member companies are from out of the area - none of them, however, are out of touch. As a part of membership, CRPG provides custom communication tools that make exchanging ideas across the country as easy as sharing information with a colleague in the next office.
The Chicago Research & Planning Group symbolizes the voice of corporate America and its many uses of technology. One industry magazine recently wrote "While consultants and academicians have a broad range of IT experience, nothing rivals that of CRPG." Another heralded our group as a "CIO brain trust." Yet another described us as "A sounding board for ideas and a peer group of experts."
We've grown up fast since 1991 - an average rate in excess of 200% annually. There are many reasons why, but those gems I'll save for you to discover as a new member of the Chicago Research & Planning Group.

For the Chicago Research and Planning Group, 2000 has been a year of transition. While we traditionally have helped form corporate partnerships through our .org status, we are transitioning ourselves towards .com partnerships to guide us through the twenty-first century. Throughout the nineties, we were primarily an organization for CIOs. We are expanding to attract CFOs, CMOs, COOs and CEOs - the group we now call CxOs.
As we are now in the year 2001, we look forward continuing to serve our CIO members as well as their CxO colleagues.
