Rebuilding and Rethinking after September 11, 2001

The Chicago Research and Planning Group and our members join the world condemning the devastation in New York and Washington D.C. on September 11, 2001. Our sympathies go out to the families of those who have lost their lives. Tragedies bring out the best in us and we would like to give our thanks to those in rescue activities.

More than buildings collapsed at the World Trade Center as companies large and small must rebuild quickly.  With devastation of this magnitude even a great city such as New York could use some help. Just as Chicago firemen traveled to help their comrades in New York, companies must help companies - Chicago's technology community must come to the aid of many New York companies. As the largest organization of CIO's in the United States the Chicago Research and Planning Group, in cooperation with other organizations,  hopes to match companies affected by the terrorist attacks with aid from companies in Chicago and elsewhere.

Here is information for companies rebuilding from the New York/ Washington D.C. tragedy.
Here is information for companies who can offer assistance for these companies.

Coincidently, CRPG and its member companies have participated in Network Security Summits as recently as September 8. After the events of September 11, there has been increased concern about Network Security from corporations. This is rapidly becoming a priority for CIOs throughout Chicago. We are planning the next meeting in November and another in January.

Here is information about Network Security Summits.

There are several sites on the net concerning Network Security and several members are working to create a CIO Portal containing many of these sites. Here are some links.

Again we offer our deepest sympathies to those who have suffered a loss. It is time to Rebuild and Rethink.
